Hi Folks. Here in the UK its cold...put the heater on and it warms the inside up nicely, but, after ashort time ( when the inside is at the required temperature) the heater turns off and the cold aircon comes on and cools it all down and then the heater comes back on and we start all over again. My question is can i disconnect something to prevent the aircon from operating in the cold weather without setting any codes?? or is this the joy of electronic air con in Vettes?
Cheers all John UKVEtteNut
I'm not sure what years this apply to but,....
The off mode of the Electronic Clim Ctrl allows outside air circuit to flow. Much like vent mode w/ the fan off. Why they did it this way, I'm not sure. To get around this, I keep the temp ctrls in Auto mode.

This is not normal. Maybe you should get it fixed instead of just disconnecting something.
Don't know of anything you can disconnect - with the controls on max or 90 that should override any input from the inside/outside air temp sensors and the heat should stay on. If not, the Programmer is probably bad.
