1990 owners manual info
I would like if someone could tell me what does it say in 1990 owners
manual about engine oil.
What approvals are needed?
I'm using Mobil1 5w-50 right now because I couldn't find 5w-30
on croatian markt. Recently I found Mobil1 0w-30 and was thinking
to switch to this oil.
Here are the specs ( almost identical to Mobil1 5w-30 that I found
on Mobile page ):
API SL/SJ/EC/CF, ACEA A1/B1/A5/B5, Ford WSS M2C 913-A/913-B,
General Motors GM 4718M, ILSAC GF-3

You will be fine. I been using the same oil for the last 7 year in my -90
In temperatures from -40 to+ 90 F.
The owner’s manual says: API SG,
Energy conserving II
SAE 5W30
S=gas G =rating the higher the better
L better then G.
Energy conserving II: No problem whit a fully synthetic
SAE 5W W=winter the lover the better. 30 the higher the better
There’s absolutely no need for 0W.
