I have a wheel that has a small, about 1/4 inch by 1 inch peel in the middle area. Very visable. Is there any way to fix it. Can I remove the clear coat on the middle area and respray a clear coat? If so what kind
Cal
Well.....once it starts, you're best to do the whole wheel..
And then the others so they match.. But thats me..
You'll want to strip the clear coat either by hand or
with the assistance of chemicals. You can get some pretty
good results if you have the patience to do it. I did all
four wheels on my 85 and they look good when you polish
them up. I think they look better than with the clearcoat.
But it is a lot of work, so keep that in mind. What year??

Strip them with Tal-Strip 2 Aircraft stripper and have them re-cleared by a body shop that knows what they are doing.
