Default LS1 injectors

Will a set of 2000 LS1 28# camaro injectors work in my 96 Lt1? I am need of a replacement set and came across some locally. I have minimal mods (exhaust, high-flow cats, K&N).

Are the stock injectors for a 96 LT1 28#?
thanks
Darin

LT1 injectors are rated as 24# if I remember right. The LS1 injectors are rated at 28.8#, but at a higher fuel pressure...something like 53-55.

SLP sells their LS1 injectors for L98s, supposedly at our fuel pressure (44?) they behave like 25#'ers. They fit fine but they are a little wobbily. One of the tech's there has them in his car. This is for an L98, so if LT1s can swap with L98s then I would assume yes. I don't know this however.

I have 2002 Z06 injectors with are 28.8lbs @ 58.4 psi. You have to file a ring around each injector to allow for the retainers to fit because theses injectors do not have the retaining slot all the way around the injector like ours. These are not a drop in replacement. I would pass on these. To much trouble.

I think the previous years may be 26lbs.

Any old style bosch like the Ford Motorsports, Accel, Delphi/Lucas or the OE style Multec from Holley, MSD or NOS will fit without any issues. Even the retainers will have a groove in the injectors.
