Default MagnaFlow for 91 Coupe

Hello Everyone,
New to the forum. Need some information. I have had a 91 coupe (Awsome!) for about six months now and looking I am looking at putting in 3.54 gears and a MagnaFlow exhaust. Heard clips like the sound. My concern with the MagnaFlow SS wide open exhaust for my 91 does not show heat shields on the "Y" pipe. At least the pictures I have seen doesn't show any. Could this create problems for the composite spring? If so, are there just MagnaFlow mufflers that will fit or is there a better cat back system available. Thanks in advance for the input.

Some have had their Y pipes ceremic coated...
I personally think ceremic coating should only be done on headers...

Others have used heat wrap at critical places.
That's what i'll be doing.

Yeah just use some heat wrap; I put a "starter blanket" around mine to protect the spring (right in front of the muffler)...
