Default Need help with 96CE

The 96 GS and CE came stock with 11" rear wheel, but the GS came with 315/35 and the CE came with 285/40 rear tires. Question is will the 315/35 fit on the CE and look right or does the GS have some other suspension setup?

The CE came stock with 9.5" rear wheels. If yours has 11" rims, someone added them. Only the ZR1s came with Silver A-Mold wheels and 315 tires, and those rims are a different offset than the 11" GS rims.

While the 315 tire will fit on a 9.5 rim, it'll look like a donut with bulged sidewalls and be susceptable to coming off the rim if pushed hard.

The GS has rear fender "eyebrow" flares to cover the extra width of the 315 tires. In general the 315s on GS offset wheels will stick out ~.25"/side.

If using ZR1 rims, the tire will extend ~.5" beyond the edge of the fender well due to the offset differences.

As far as suspension differences, there's really none except that the GS uses different swaybar sizes.

Yeah...only the GSs (and ZR1s) came with 11" rear wheels. 11" wheels on any other car is an add-on. I've run both 275s and 285s on my 9.5" A-molds, but I would be very hesitant to run 315s.
