header gaskets...
what is a good set of header gaskets to use on my 89.. i'm getting ready to put on my lingenfelter headers and want a quality gasket that will seal nicely and not leak... just wondered what you guys were running... i have tried some copper ones on my 69 olds but really didn't care for them.. any one use earsl aluminum or is there something better ..part numbers and manufactures welcome..thanks in advance

Well, I have the copper gaskets from Mr Gasket between my Hookers and the heads and I've used nothing but them all my small block career. I, too, use antiseize on the header bolts and use S/S allen socket head header bolts so I can torque all the header bolts to spec. And yes, retorque after a few heat cycles. One other note, make sure you have the correct length header bolts as some are too short with different headers.

would ya have teh part number for those?? they should be the same for l-98 aluminum d port heads i would think... since you can use l98 headers on lt1's
