Default L98 Engine mount question

Help,

I forgot exactly what go on the engine mount.
The driver side has three bolts that attached to the block, two short and one long. One of short one go on the bottom and the other on top toward the back, the long one toward the front correct?
The passenger side all three bolts are short, correct?

Thanks,

VQ, seem like you have us all stumped with this one. It has been a while since I removed my engine mounts but I do not recall one being longer than the other five. I replaced all of mine with grade 8 bolts, all the same length the last time the mounts were off.

I think the driver side bolt toward the front is the long one to attach a rod to connect to the air pump or alternator bracket. I just want to make sure so I don't have to take those bolts out when most of the parts are install in the car.
Should of take pictures when I disassemble the engine. Thought that I remember where eveything go.

I'll let you know what that rod connect to when I finish putting everything back.

Because you modified your air bracket long ago. The rod that I am talking about was the picture I sent you back in Sept/Oct 2002 asking where should that thing attached too. You don't remember it either, I found out after a few days where it goes. After talking about this, now I know that that long bolt has to be on the front on the driver side

Are we all talking about the same thing? I'm talking about the mounts that go from the block to the engine cradle. The bolts for the air pump mount to the cylinder head and power steering pump bracket (if i remember right).

Now I don't know which is which!
there are two rods on the driver side, the one from the front bolt of the exhaust manifold to the afternator bracket (I think). The other rod is smaller and not as long attach from the front top bolt of the engine mount, this bolt does attach to the block. I think is attach to the bracket that hold the airpump.

With relatives visiting Las Vegas for the Holidays, working on re-rings the piston at the same time as running sight tours to the Casinos and my brother was helping taking the engine off while he was visiting. He already gone back and I am stuck with putting the engine back by myself. I don't remember the steps on taking the front end apart. It's going to be like the last time, install something then realized that the other part has to be in first; disassemble then reassemble at few times before everything are in their correct position. :o :o
