91 vette interior light??
i noticed that my light comes on when i shut the hood and i don't slam it down i close the hood then push on both ends. also when i shake the car it comes on. i cleaned the switch on the doora few months ago. and it worked but this time?? is that pin in the switch supposed to slide in and out easy because i have to use a screw driver to pry it out.

I just had similar problems with my '91. On the passenger side, where the door's switch contacts the car there is a little plastic pad. I guess whoever had the car before me changed it. It was flat while the driver's side pad was a little dome shaped. Since the pad was flat it would not allow the switch to be pushed in far enough when I closed the door. So I went to the parts stoor and found, in the trim section, a piece that closley resembled the one from the driver's side piece(with the dome shape). After installing that everything was fine.
