Default outside temp

My outside temp is now 7 or so degrees colder than other thermometers!What could cause this?Where is the outside probe for the temp?1990 convert!

The sensor is located on the front of the car, under the nose, where air enters for the radiator. Get down low and look at that opening. The sensor is on the passenger side, enclosed in a black plastic box that has a screen opening in the front.

Mine acts up sometimes. It seemed like cleaning it gently with a cotton swabs soaked in clean water helped it for a while. I guess you could replace the sensor too. Before you do that, however, make sure you check it with other thermometers several times and at different temperatures. Make sure your body heat isn't affecting the other thermometers (if it's really cold outside and you're holding a thermometer, of course that one will be warmer than the one in the car).
