how to remove shifter console????

Default how to remove shifter console????
1996 CE auto trans: My clear plastic display that tells me whether i am in park reverse etc is loose and slides out of place. How do I remove the plastic housing to get underneath?? Help !!!!!!!

Pry the shifter button up with a small screwdriver. Then use snap ring plyers to remove the small snap ring. The rest is just removing the screws that hold the console in place.

there are 3 screws that hold the console down.

Two are under the console lid.. near the coin change slots, the other is under the front cup holder.
