Will I get a significant gain in performance if I install the SuperRam plenum/runner kit, without the modified intake manifold? I already have exhaust on my vehicle taken care of. I'm looking to gain 15-20HP or so. Is this possible?
So there would be no performance gain with just the plenum and short runners? the Lingenfelter website claims gains of like 18HP and 30 ft/lbs of torque @ higher rpm's with just the plenum and runners....

You should see a significant gain over the stock upper assembly. Mainly because the SR plenum and runners flow more and offer higher flow velocities which enhances overall torque in the low and mid range RPMs than the stock TPI unit. To get full benefits you should replace the base as well, not to mention the amount of work involved to install the upper in the first place, I can almost assure you that you will not want to do that job twice
