door switch going crazy

my door ajar light and my interior lights go crazy while i'm driving down the road. It also keeps setting my alarm off when I leave the car and the alarm sets. So looking at the store I find 2 different switches. Which one do I need for my 93 Coupe.

87-95 RH/LH DOOR ALARM SWITCH & PIGTAIL
or
88-94 DOOR AJAR SWITCH

I thought these were one and the same?

The door ajar switch is the guy you can see when you open the door. The door alarm switch is inside the door on the back of the door lock cylinder.

The lighting situation would be the door ajar switch.

The "door ajar switch" can be adjusted. It's a screw type thing. I've had to adjust mine a couple of times. Just grab the tip and turn, no tools required.
