Default Piston Question

I have a 86 L98 Vette with iron heads I was wondering does this engine come stock with Flat Top Pistons or not ?????

Just put new rings in my early 86 and it has flat top Hyper-pistons with the standard four valve reliefs in them. Hope this helps.

Interesting... and true. I was not aware that GM did this so I looked it up. I wonder why they went from forged on those two years to cast pistons that acually weigh more on cars that are supposed to be increasing power?
