Help: Wipers don't work
94 Corvette 6 speed, wipers and cruise do not work, BUT turn signals and high beams work...
I have a multimeter, I'm just not sure what to do next... does Haynes or Chiltons have procedures ??
Thanks for any info!
To trouble shoot the wiper problem, look under the hood at the windshield wiper motor.
I'm looking at a 95 manual so hopefully a 94 is the same.
There are 3 connectors.
Connector C1
Brown wire
Black wire is Ground (Verify zero ohms to ground)
Pink
Connector C2
Yellow wire
Blue wire
Gray wire
Connector C3
Purple wire
Yellow wire
Verify you have zero ohms from Connector C1 Black wire to ground.
Open passenger side door and look at the fuse panel on the side of the Instrument Panel. Verify the Wiper Fuse 3 30 amp is not blown.
With ignition in run and Wiper switch on HI
you should measure 12 volts to ground at Connector C3 Purple wire. If you don't, the Switch in the Stalk is bad.
If the Stalk for the Wiper function is bad may be replacing the Stalk will cure the Cruise Control problem.
You really need the Helms manual to trouble shoot the Cruise Control circuit.
Did you have any work done before these two problems occured?
