do h-pipes cut down on resonation as well as x-pipes or should i just go with an x-pipe?

this is an age old debate... I will have to defer to NASCAR on this one... They use an X-pipe. That has to mean something.

i was just wondering because it looks like it would be easier to put an h pipe in my exhaust instead of trying to make a x pipe fit

An H-pipe will help... but I think an X is better.

has anyone replaced the H pipe on our stock LT4s with an X pipe? a guy on grandsport registry said he did it and gained 15rwhp although i dont know if he took the resonator out as well or not. anyone have more info on this?

I can tell you this much... I have EM longtubes feeding 3" pipes from the collectors to a Dr. Gas X-pipe. From there, 3" pipe to PowerEffects (no resonator of course).

It's loud! I do have resonance at lower RPMs. The neighbors can hear me coming 1/2 mile away and I'm thinking that I'm starting to lose hearing in my right ear...
