Distributor wires?

Distributor wires?
There are two wires that attach to the distributor cap. Which one (color) is the one closest to the fire wall?

On my 85 red is power and white is the tach

Just had my cap off today. One of the connectors has raised rib running vertically so they won't interchange.

I hope so since the clip on both have broken off

Yep, those connectors are polarized so that they will not pulg into the wrong slot; the General was pretty good about such things.

The clips break after time, both are also broke on my 84.
