Water is hard to get out of the system since it isn't soluable in gasoline.

Run some dry gas in maybe 1/2 tank of fuel through it and see if the problem clears up.

Hey, is there some kind of plug on the tank to drain out the gas? I have an 85, and I might have some dirty gas also that I'd like to get out of my tank--rather not run it through the system if I don't have to, car sat for over a year with hardly any drive time.....I did pick up some dry gas to use, but not sure how great that works...

if you take off your gas lid cover like 4 small screws then pull out black piece you will see about 12 bolts that hold down the neck take off the neck and the fuel pump will come out also as one piece very very easy takes about 1.5 hours to clean and put back together (i just siphond out gas then cleaned tank with shop rags) you might need new neck gasket i didnt
