Default remote start

Has anybody installed a remote starter/opener on their C4s?
I'm looking at a particular model called a "pro starter".
Should I be aware of any VATS issues etcetera? I have an '89.

My brother put a "compustar" in my 1988 for me. He had to buy the resistor that is the same with the key to bypass the VATS for the remote starter. He also told me that both alarms work, that's mean he did not diconnect the VATS. There are lots of time I have problem with the VATS, but was able to start the car right away with the remote. I don't know much about this, but apparently he did and he's not a mechanic or a car alarm installer, he's a pharmacist (I call him a drug dealer ) . So with some basic understanding about electrical circuit and like to apply to the real world situation plus like to work on cars, anyone can do it. Me! I don't have a clue

If I could tell you the number of times I've heard "you should leave it to a professional..."
They're probably right, but where would the fun be in that? The "drug dealer" has the right attitude!
