Default ""INFO PANEL not working"" please help

I have an 85 4+3, and my digital information panel is not working (volts, pressure etc) I have properly hooked up to the dash cluster, I checked all fuses, bulbs inside the panel, but all seem fine. It used to work when I had it hooked up. I asked this before and someone mentioned the grounding. So I looked right where I think the ground is located. Just under the hood release bezel, behind the rubber mat--but that checks out to be ok too....The guage cluster works fine, so this is puzzling, unless theres a different ground somewhere else. And yes I do have the wire harness properly inserted into the cluster---AND every fuse in panel is good too.....any ideas?

YES; find my recent posting on this - The connection (Which has to go down in history in my oppinion as the DUMBEST connector) is critical between the plug and the copper 'fingers' on the PCB behind the info panel...If not absolutely mated well, all sorts of things (Won't) happen; i.e., instrument lights behind the panel won't work etc. Simple but time consuming effort to fix - I used hotglue to stick the copper fingers down.

I don't know what your problem is, but if you want a circuit panel that mounts on the back of the info center let me know. I will let it go for the shipping, and a donation of your choice for beer. Or you can have it for the shipping. Your call, Ok cancel the beer ,, Since it was you that got me with c5 mirrors now. love the yellow beast. Randy

Default """I found the problem"""

I realized the problem after a long time of searching....the problem was that I didn't plug the harness directly into the back of the gauge.....I did see that plug laying back there, but I figured that was for the original radio and the panel got its power from the speedometer gauge. But started to wonder where the light bulbs were getting there power from sincehow no wires touched them from the inside wires.Nope, it was what powered the lights into the panel....I feel so retarded, but happy in a way knowing there wasn't a major problem with the actual speedo gauge. Thanks guys for the help
