I've had this beast taking up space in the closet for too long along with some other goodies. What is it? Number says US28625. Some guy had it mounted on a SBC in an old school rail years ago. Hope these are sized OK.

uuuh dude, I think that came from a wwII tank. seriously I would use it to build a jet engine of something. there is no way of telling what it's flow rating or hope for finding a compressor map. Get a go kart chassis and some parts from a salamader heater and a big set o ***** and tear up the streets!

first question I would ask is what happened to the SBC that it was on??? If it blew up in the first 15 minutes, then I'd be leaning towards getting a new turbo.

Do you have any measurements? It would be nice to know the inducer size and you might be able to take a wild guess if you compare it to the turbos that you know compressor maps for.

I haven't a clue about turbos...The SBC was an old schooler for sure-Should have seen the early design solid roller lifters..scary! Had an old Donovan gear drive, and the headers looked like old T-bucket types! I'm just curious as to what it is, not like I'd use it on anything (I do have an old go-cart on the patio that...)Seriously, I'd like to get an idea. What and where would you need measurements from, besides from here to the trash can? I'm guessing this thing came off a diesel...

you would want to take the cover off and measure the diameter of the compressor at the inlet and at the base. The smallest and largest diameter of the compressor

Looks like one of those old timey really loud horns that kind of sounds like sirens.

Haven't had much time the last few days to measure everything. I'll get on it soon enough.

Maybe US 28625 means this part was manufactured in the US in zip code 28625, Statesville NC?
