Inf Light
Once again I have the dreared INF light. It looks like it is code 16. It had been off for 6 months, but it's come back. I've tried cleaning the frame and I reset the code.
At this point, where can you get a new sensor and isn't there a tool that helps you reset the code?
How much does this stuff cost?

PSU you can buy the frame sensor at a chevrolet parts place. It costs about $60 bucks. MID AMERICA has the code clearing tool for $20 bucks or a little more. Code 16 is the drivers side sensor fault. BUT MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY WHEN DOING THIS REPAIR. good luck

Be sure to check the yellow sensor wire connector on the left side of your driverside footwell. I had cleaned and replaced the sensor and cleared the code only to have it pop up again after several weeks. I had apparently disturbed the connector while doing the sensor repair and it eventually opened up. I remade the connection and it has been fine since.

By the way PSU before putting on the new sensor clean the frame rail off where the sensor sits. Get it down to the metal with a grinder or dremel tool then put a little dielectric grease on the bottom of the sensor. I also put small star washers on the bolts when I re installed it to make a better ground. Might as well do it on the other side while your at it.
