Default Transgo shift kit owners/ Step inside

I have 93 4L60, 3.73 gear, 3200 stall, 1.6 rr with beehive springs, corsa, shorty headers and just today picked it up with shift kit installed. How hard do your gears hit? My 1-2 hits at 5900 rpms and it happens so fast that the only way to tell it shifted is by watching the rpms. 2-3 shifts better then before butt its not hitting very hard. I was expecting the shifts to feel like I was being rearended. What should this kit make my shifts feel like. When I test drove it, it was 10 deg. outside, I had traction problems.

With my old Eagles on the 1-2 shift the tires would chirp on a warm day and the tail wag on cooler/cold days.

With new tires it doesn't chirp much but the shift is still very fast and solid on street or strip.

You need traction to quantify the results of the kit.

i have a 95 and the kit is somewhat different for that tranny. but i get a very solid 1-2 and 2-3 sometimes it "ripps" the tires on the 1-2 and sometimes just a mild chirp . depending on how much tread u have on your tires,. . . you might be spinning the wheels on the 1-2 and just not hearing it . a cold ground can do that in 10degree tempatures

Ill probable have to wait for warmer weather to feel the effect of the kit. Ill soon have new 11" wheels with drag Nittos on them , that should do the trick. Ill have to wait a few months. I just thought the shift would really feel like a kick in the azz.

I installed A transgo kit when I rebuilt my tranny. AT the time I have old 275's on the back and it would chirp in 1-2 and sometimes 2-3. In the kit you have 3 options of "Firmness" depending how many "Spacers" you put in it. I chose the middle ground and I liked it. Once I installed my 315 in the back, it happened less frequently that I got chirps. Mine is not "neck-snapping" either but I can feel a difference for sure!
