Might want to forward this to a mod or administrator. They may actually be able to fix the situation. My .02.

I have posted this too, i think moderators look here. How about a response guys? Let us know what we can do! Please.
The search engine used to be much better when i first signed up few years ago, don't know what has happened lately. I would stay here virtually all of my online time if I could find specifically what I am looking for. But, I lose interest, especially when you combine my slow azz computer with an ineffective search engine.

And, considering the immense value that this forum is (could be) to all of us, not having a search engine (usable one anyway) shoots us in the foot. Other performance enthusiast sites are not nearly as big, but their search engines are much better making them more effective sites.
essentially, if you don't start a new topic, you won't find what you are looking for. And even if you do start a new topic, that doesnt guarantee finding it. One thing is for sure...mostly everything that is talked about in these first few pages has been discussed here many many times. I'm sure some of the techie guys get tired of answering the same questions and just move on to what they were doing rather than spend their time retyping their responses to "How much hp with stock lt4 hotcam?" for example.

Sorry for the rant, but if you ever tried using the search engine for a post that you know you put there as stated above, you get frustrated.
So if its a matter of a small contribution to get the search engine up and running as it should be...count me in! I got paypal ready and waiting.
Sam

Heck, I was looking at a thread last night and can't find it this morning...tried the search function....nothing. Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I have had no luck using the search functions. Everybody says, that they use it, but I wish they would let me know how it works. Is it searching for words in the text, or titles? Like you said the ones it came up with were old.

There is so much great information that is so close to being accessible, it is really frustrating. I echo the plea for fixing the search function. Come guys - we love this forum - give us a real search function, please - and thank you!

This question has been asked in the "Help" Forum and apparently it's being worked on.
