Default TV cable adjustment.

What is the correct way to adjust the TV cable on my "91" Vette. I've found 3 cables attached to the side of the plenum, the throttle cable, cruise control cable and the TV cable that runs underneath the plenum.

I read that you have to push in a "D" shaped ring and pull back on the sheathing and then open the throttle fully.

I don't see any "D" shaped ring. What am I missing.

The three cables should pass through a bracket on the left side of the plenum. The TV cable has the "D" shaped tang near that bracket.

If you depress this tang (actually you sort of press back on it) you can slide the cable head back toward the firewall a little.

I went back out and looked at it again and found where the cable passes through the plenum bracket, there is a plastic square shaped grommet thing that the cable passes through and looking into that from the front of the plenum, I depressed a little plastic thingy in with a small screwdriver and then tried to move the cable sheathing back (didn't noticably move) and then moved the throttle fully open, I then heard two small clicks.

Did I do it right? Can it be over adjusted? Thanks

Thank you so much for that great Link!

I couldn't find the "D" button because mine was more of an "H" shape. I followed the instructions from that Link and everything adjusted perfectly! Now I understand it completely! Thanks again.
