help needed with air injection

Default help needed with air injection

I have a set of hooker headers on my car with the air injection pipes on.I am looking to remove all the air injection stuff as the pump has died.My problem is ,what to use to blank the pipes on the headers .Are there any special blanking plugs,what size thread are they?

I would just find somthing to fit. Your best bet is to cut them off and weld in a patch.

I used 1/2 NPT pipe caps on mine. You can get them from the hardware store.

have you any pictures,I was looking for something in stainless steel as the headers are ceramic coated I didnt want to start hacking bits off incase I damage the coating

Thanks for the picture but I am looking to remove everything including the pipe that you have capped off.I just want to plug the the opening on the headers themselves.

Rather then cutting and messing up the coating, sell them and get a set of 2151 Hookers.

Just cut them off with a grinder and have someone weld them closed. Just tape around the area when grinding and welding, then paint the spots with a paint similar in color to the coating on the headers.

Sorry I misunderstood your post, I thought you were wanting to cap the air pipe off, not remove it completely.
