What is the best way to pre-lube the LTx engine? Pressurized canister as discribed in the LTx rebuild book. turn engine over with starter for 10 second bursts with coil wire removed and fuse for injectors removed, I found that suggestion on the http://www.camaroz28.com/ forums(not really a good idea i think)????

I used a tool from autozone that hooks up to a hand drill. Autozone loaned it for free with a minimal deposit. The only disadvantage is that you have to have the intake off. It is a nifty tool and does a great job.

I used the same tool, then installed the intake. The next day I removed the fuel pump fuses, turned the engine over until it built oil pressure, and fired it up.

I have an old one I made but it is what I used, don't realy like the idea of cranking the motor before primijng even w/o the coil hooked up and would advise against that method. The LTx intake is very easy to install and the pump drive is only one bolt so priming it with astd chevy primer tool is a good way to go
