Default About the ZR1

This car is AMAZING!!! I owned a 90' coupe and have had ample driving time with a C5 and I must say.........The ZR1 is AMAZING!!! The feeling of driving this beast around is something else. I had my mind set on a 1995 admiral blue vert and after test driving this car I forgot all about it! It is true: Once you drive one .........you MUST have one!

Now only if could do something about that lousy Bose Gold system. :U

Default Re: About the ZR1 (L98FIRE)

The Bose system on the Z had alot of problem's and sounded real cra**y when we first got the car. Then spent time going over the complete system and found more than one problem with it. One bad amp/two with loose connection's/bad ground's on the antenna.Installed the ground plane kit correctly. All is fixed now and the system sound's pretty good. Let's hope that it stay's this way for a while.

Default Re: About the ZR1 (FrankUrbinati)

how difficult is installing a good aftermarket system.

I realize the car will need to be rewired due to the distributed amps on the bose.

I'm planning for the next time the "no high, no lows, must be a bose" craps out. I replaced all the amps and it sounds OK, but not really on a par with the more modern factory stereos or a decent after market setup.

my ZR1 is a modified "mutt" built to suit my tastes, and I like a really good stereo.

thanks for any advice.
