What a thread. Just read the whole thing. Awesome info! Hoping to make 200 mph someday and this thread has been a lot of help. Waiting to see how it ends. Good luck.

212 is incredible, what is the goal, I thought 230+.......those are impressive numbers, considering I doubt the is much chance to "tune" these at the track.

well the run was a learning experience for the Driver and tuner, and that is to be expected. I was having the time of my life running down the long course ran 212 at the 5 mile mark and 214 at the 5.2 mile exit trap. But I continued the run to the 7 mile mark even though, there was no timing past 5.25, the car never quit pulling and at 7000 rpm when I pulled the chute which puts the car at about 225mph.
I was shifting at 7000, it was taking too much time to pull back up from the 2000 rpm drop. I will now try shifting at 7300. What happens is the miles just fly by, and you need to be really hammering it at every second. As five miles get pretty short when your over 210.
Also I ran into a soft area in the track where other cars has excessive wheel spin. It felt like driving in slush, and I had to back off. come to fine out the everyone knew it was there but me.
So the good news is that the car really handled well. it was asume
I am still grinning , and I expect to wake up with a sore jaw.
We will run tomarrow, Corey added more fuel to the top end, so keep your fingers crossed.

Big improvement, today, my 2 mile mark improved to 196 from 187. the first half mile was really torn up and it was hard to get hooked up, But shifting at 7300-7500 was a big improvement, shifted to 4th at 7700, which was a big improvement. Ran 218 at the 5 mile, 220 at the 5.25 exit. We are still too lean at WOT so Corey is adding more fuel on top.
and we will try again this Tuesday morning.
Video's can be found at www.racing.texaschildrens.org
or at racingtoheal on youtube.
Right now I think we have a decent chance of breaking the 230.45 record.

Man that is cool! I hope yall can break the record...you're not too far away. Even if you have to bring it home and tweak it a little more, I think you can do it. All Hail the King!

200+ doesn't look like much until the mile markers fly by.
Salt looks good this year. Waitin' to hear more.....

1. Do you know how much speed assisted boost the engine is getting from the ram air effect at 200+ mph ?
2. Is their any kind of an air filter being used, or is it a straight shot into the plenum ?
Congrats to you and the team for your results so far. I am amazed at how quickly you are closing in on the record !
All the best to all involved !
