shift lockout
Found where my shift lockout was disconnected by the previous owner at the mid point along the side of the transmission. Reconnected. All connections including both ends are very clean and making good contact. Still does not work. What am I missing ? Is there a fuse ? Is there a computer disconnect ? 20,000 mile clean original car. Need fixed for NCRS PV Judging.

What year is your ZR-1? Are you talking about the connector going to the 1-4 skip-shift solenoid? There is no "electrical" shift lockout for reverse so I assume you're talking about the 1-4 skip-shift. The '90-'93 ZF has a ring on the shifter you lift to to enable you to go to reverse and the '94-'95 has a "crash through" design where you have to push harder against a spring to shift to reverse.
