Problems I see, drivers bolster worn (out of shape) , antenna not retracting, rear bumper on the right side the clear looks to be peeling, factory paint does not peel like that, and the underside of hood looks to be pained gloss black rather than mat black,
Looks to be a decent car, I would have to inspect it before I would pay big bucks for it.

For the right price I could see myself bidding on it.

The good: 2 sets of wheels. Yellow, ZR-1 , looks to be well cared for.

Ha! I'm still here, and I do like that combination (wonder why ). Pretty neat that the car is one of three. Wasn't one of those three yellow/saddle '90s in Kerbeck's showroom, not for sale? It's right down the road from me, but I sure have not seen it, myself. I do still dream of a beautiful yellow ZR-1 for myself, someday

Thanks, 91DRM, for thinking of me

Mike

I do not thing that the clear is pealing it looks like reflection from the road.

the underside of the hood IS incorrect, probably done at the same time as the radiator shroud.

Hey Mike, good to hear from you, glad you're ok, Whenever I see yellow I think of the trip you and your dad made to pick up your baby. Great story! Did you check the guy's other cars for sale? I'd love to have that deuce and the bantam would be a wild ride.

If the clear is peeling it could very well be factory as it peeled on the hood of my 90. I think that car looks ok except like some have mentioned the fake wood sh*t and yeller **** would have to go but the car looks like it has been cared for and a good deal for someone.

Only bid to $16k, I am sure that wasn't even close to reserve.

I would say 16 but gray was available with comp. yellow, not sure if there were any ZR-1 with this combo, somebody on the registry would know.

I'd be interested to know as I have black.

I know Kerbeck has a yellow/tan.

Default Yellow ZR1 on Ebay

Hi all,

Well my wife bought the car you have been discussing. Her requirement, it had to be yellow.

We got the Z for a fair price being $50 less then reserve or $18,450.
We really like the history of the car and look forward to driving the roads here in VT.

Regards,

Cherry and Don

That's a great buy! But I thought all anyone drove in VT is old Volvos and Subarus.

With the exception of the yellow shifter ****, that car actually looks fine as it is.
NCRS it isn't, but those mods, particularly the engine look well done, and not too far overboard.
The mileage issue seems like a "forgot the real number, so just write something so the transfer can be finsished". Now, I would not do it that way but who knows.
I would bet someone steals that car.
There have been more than a few cars on the forum where the owner painted the engine to match.
Not every big block mid year is an NCRS trailer queen.
Buy this one now at a deflated 2010 price; put 200,000 miles on it over the next 20 years, then restore it to NCRS if you like, and you will have had years of fun and end up with a car worth far more than you will have invested into it.
Let me be the first to congratulate the next owner!
Your new car shows well! ( minus that darn ****)

Marty
1FUNZR1

Congratulations!

Get to work putting on those miles.

You may now take off your mask, and put the gun away.

A genuine "steal".

You will get many years of pleasure out of that car!

Welcome to the club!

Congrats on getting your Z......and for having good taste in colors. I'm somewhat prejudice though.
