Default 1994 ZR1 Cold Tire Pressure

I just purchased ZR1 replica wheels and tires to put on my LT1, 275-40-17 for the front and 315-35-17 for the rear. Question is what should normal cold tire pressure be, 30 PSI?

Depends on the tires. 30 to 40psi Check on the tires themselves, there should be a recommended pressure on it. (could be higher or lower)

The only marking on a tire itself will be the maximum pressure the tire can is rated to withstand. This is far from a recommendation.

In the jamb of the drivers door will be a sticker with GM's pressure recommendation. I believe it is 35psi, if memory serves.

The door jamb sticker tells you as long as you have right tires on car.
I like to run 32 32 on lt1 car and 33 32 on lt-5 car.

35 is a rough ride. Sometimes I fluctuate on long drives etc. I have an expensive tire gauge and check them quite often. Tire pressure is important for safety and longetivity. I've gotten 35-40k on a set of tires before without rotating.

I play with my pressure depending if I cruise around town or go to the track. 32F/30F in town 36F/34R min. at track with Yoko tires
