My 90 ZR1 will crank but no start
Hi,
I used my ZR on Sunday and went on a 300 mile trip here in northern VT. ZR ran great. Shut if off in the garage on Sun nite and when I went to start it yesterday it wont start. It will crank just fine but no start. Tank is 3/4 full. I do not hear the fuel pumps run for 2 sec as is normal. When I hooked the pressure guage up to the fuel rail and turn the key to run I get 0 pressure. When I connect 12v to the fuel pump test lead (red wire) and pulse the pumps I get 10 pounds !!!. That aint gonna do it. Could I have both pumps go bad at the same time or has my secondary pump been bad for a long time and I have been running on my primary only ? I know that both pumps run at start up and until the temp is correct but is it possible the I have been on the primary pump for some time ? The ZR has always taken quite a few spins to fire but it always started.
Any comments on my problem.
Regards
Don

Melting Slicks
Yes what was the fix as we are having the exact same problem with my dads 90 ZR-1? In our case it was sitting with a dead battery and when he tried to start it back fired in the intake. Then it sat again for a week until we got a new battery and now we have the exact same symptoms as you, no fuel pressure.
