I hear ya, and I know of a few individuals there in particular that have never owned a Z, leave-alone work on one, but enjoy pontificating their ignorance every time a ZR-1 comes up. I've tried, but "...there is none so blind as the man that will not see!"

And, I will say this too: Anyone considering or owning a ZR-1 will find all the support they can use on the ZR-1 Net Registry, where "Keeping the Legend Alive" isn't just a slogan, but a solemn promise! (OK, and it is extremely helpful if one is not intimidated and blessed with at least some fundamental tools and wrenching skills. But, that goes for ANY car/truck, too!)

I miss my ZR-1 with a passion... Im going to try and get one again in the next 1-2 years. I sold my 92 a few years back when the economy got stupid.... I owned a residential drywall company and the building bust came along, and my toys suffered the wrath of that.....I sold the 92 for $19,000. which was a good price IMO.

I just recently bought a mint 86 to feed the Corvette hunger that I will never be free from.... Its a 34k mile car and really nice. That said, I still would love to have a KOTH in my garage again, and I plan on doing that when I can...

A drywall company...Oh, Yeeeeah.... I REMEMBER YOU WHEN! We got our Zs about the same time, IIRC (mine was late 07). I lived in Franktown (south of Parker) for a while before moving to Bailey (Park Co.). Always hoped we'd meet up someday.

I actually aim to get a 90 when I get one.... I am among the few who like the belt line and the front end of that year best! Yours is a beauty!!

Nice looking C4 ! You will have opportunities to put another ZR-1 in your life. A friend of mine has a nice red 90 with a 91 motor in it. Its been repainted and is in excellent condition

He has had it for years and did a lot of littlle tweaks to it to sort it all out. Flow Master exhaust, oil catch can and AN hoses. 335s Michelins on the back and a few other nice tweaks.

He has let me borrow it before to drive to work... It was fun messing with the guys at work... "you got two ZR-1s?"

Its tight! Especially compared to mine!

I'm not stepping into that trap. I do, however, think some of those guys would be happier with s Miata since they are crying about maintenance costs.

But when you're given the opportunity to spread fact over fiction about the ZR-1, its good to take that opportunity.... The C4 community really doesn't know a whole lot about the KOTH..... surprisingly enough!!
