Was in conversation about bad wrecks, and the "U Boat ZR-1" came to mind, and I wondered if it ever made it back on the road.
It was on eBay a few months (year) after the lake incident, advertised as a fresh water flood, but the seller (who was not the apparent owner at the time of incident) had failed to mention water up to the rear view mirror.
Anyone know if this one made it back? Someone's gotta know the VIN. This was from E-Town in 2005, 13 years ago...
I remember racing at E-town when that happened. Saw them pulling it out. Went right under the fence. Think it was a Corvette Show and Go day.
Correct. Happened towards the end of the day, on the last run group, I think. It was pretty wild to watch, and luckily for the driver, the chain link fence broke "out", allowing the car to "launch" vs. get balled up in the fence.
