Got my zr1 started back up after pulling the plenum. Sorted out the vacuum leaks , and while I was there installed new southbay injectors and and ignition coils from autozone. First test drive was going well, and then out of now where the car lost power, started sputtering, popping, and knocking. Then it didn't want to start back up. All I can think is that some of the primary injectos must have stuck open or something. Any other thoughts on what could cause that? I'm going to go down with some tools and swap the factory injectors back in tomorrow morning, but any suggestions would be welcomed

Wow sorry to hear I feel your pain, I would firstly check fuel pressure. Could be fuel pump failing, next disconnect and reconnect the battery. Have come across a few odd things happening during my times with corvettes solved by a simple reset by disconnecting battery for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Hope its a simple fix not a fried ecm ....
I doubt new or rebuilt injectors would all fail, good luck 👍

Hadn't thought about that because I replaced both fuel pumps a few month ago, but thats a good idea. Thanks
Not trying to be a smartass, but are you sure it had enough gas? Check/Reseat all of your connections again as well. If it was running good at first, its probably something simple.
it looks like one fuel pump was bad, started right up and drove home this morning, and I was able to do some tests. Thanks for the suggestions, i was going to chase down the wrong hole for sure
Glad it's running again. But, you should really do some research on who [and where] critical parts are produced. I'll buy general purpose stuff from "The Zone", but not any critical components. Almost always the cheapest made, poorest quality parts available.
NEVER buy important/critical parts based on price alone.
I have to agree ... did you mean both injectors and coils? I wouldn't trust either of these critical parts to wherever AZ sources them.
Just the coils...I bought the soutbay injectors, and these past few days ive been reading not great things about them. The good news is the car is running great now. Thanks for the help
Marc Haibeck recommended I purchase Duralast coils from Autozone two years ago when I was chasing a misfire. It fixed the misfire. Several here are doubting the use of Autozone coils, but the most trusted individual in things-ZR-1 recommends them. At least he did two years ago.
The injectors themselves are refurbished units offered by a business online known as SouthBay. They are yellow top Ford injectors. They work very well, run $350 for a set, and they come with a two year warranty. They’re a pretty good alternative to dropping a grand for a stainless set.
I have a set in my Z. She idles great, runs up to redline, and handles anything you throw at them. They handle heat very well, and don’t mind higher rpms for extended periods.
For what it’s worth, I will eventually look to replace with stainless injectors. However, at the time of replacing injectors, I was already a grand in replacement parts during a plenum dive.
I won't buy Duralast anything. I've seen some of the poor quality parts from those purchased by others. I don't trust them. On 'most' foreign-made aftermarket parts, WE are the quality control. WE buy it. WE install it. WE try it our [or run it for a while]. When it fails, WE remove it from the vehicle. WE return it per their "guarantee" that we then receive ANOTHER ONE JUST LIKE IT !!!!
