Excaliburvette

Hey folks,

I am in the Boston area and am looking to buy another C4. My budget for the car is around $5000 and the only make or break think is the condition of the transmission. I want something that I can slam shift into gear without any grinds or misbehavior of the transmission as the car is going to be used for racing and I have read the ZF6 will cost thousands to fix/rebuild. I don't care what color and am fine with a car that needs a little bit of work. Ideally I'd like to find a car that I can enjoy driving for the rest of the summer and then turn into a race car during the winter. Would prefer to find a car within 200 miles but If you're further away and would be willing to let me drive the car home on your plates (then express mail them back) I am not opposed to flying and driving one home.
