Rob,
Excellent idea. I'll call them Monday and ask for the bill of sale. I'm sure that you stopped by Barney while there. I hope we got to talk. It was the first and only time I've ever consigned. It was a blast the entire week. It was all car people there! So much fun to converse with people and talk about Barney. I look forward to hearing about who bought my car.
Yes, the Corvettes were a great value again. I really wish I knew why......is it because the C8 is causing the used and front engine to drop across the board?
Thoughts?

Nice ZR1. But most of the BJ folks love low mileage models. Seems many then become garage queens based on perceived future appreciation. Someone got a very fair deal and hopefully will enjoy driving it. I believe many of the older cars are going down in pricing too at the expense of speculators. The market will adjust accordingly, regardless of sellers wishes.
Young folks may not share the same interest or cash reserves as older buyers. Looks like some very attractive deals await those with cash and patience. Times are a changing. Love the C4 I currently own and pay little attention to its cash value today and in the future. Driving it is worth the price of depreciation.
Additional point to consider: Low mileage cars can be neglected and cost their buyers more after their purchase than higher mileage and well maintained examples. I choose to avoid low mileage cars after buying a super low mileage Trans Am many years ago. Once I bought it and started driving it many issues unexpectedly appeared. Lesson learned.

this is my opinion so TIFWIW... you want the car to be driven at least 500 to 1000 miles per year consistently. Meaning, if the car sat for a couple years, forget it.... or if it was driven 10k miles the first year and it still only has 15k on it, same deal.
That really means you are looking at ZR-1s with 20k on the low side, more like 30-50k now for a car that won't nickle and dime you if you also put around 1000 on it a year. For perspective... for me this means I'd be driving the car only a couple nice days per month.

As far as pricing coming down because of the C8 I don't see it.....Still C6 ZR1's are mid 50's to low 70's the latter being more expensive than a C8...
When I see C6 Z06 coming down into high 20's and C6 Zr1's dropping to 40' s than I will believe it.....

As far as the C6Z06, yes.... Some higher mileage stock examples are in the high 20's....Really have not seen any C6ZR1's getting into the 40 range..Only one I really seen was a nice example of one for $47,500 on this forum..To me a lot of dealers are asking mid 50's to mid 60's...
Would be nice if they did come down to the 40' s ...A bare bones C8 will run low 60's for a brand new one...
