I see a lot of talk of $35,000 2000 Convertibles and $38,000 2001 Convertibles. Please liet here where all those sweet deals are. Of course list the better deals than this out there as well. Thanks ! (Would prefer loaded with low miles)

I think there is a 2000 with less than 4k miles on ebay, about to sell for around 35-36k, loaded. If it helps.

Re: Please list the $35K 2000 Convertibles and $38k 2001 Convertibles (indypace78)
I guess that is why I started this list request.
EBAY I never really know if they sell or just appear to sell.
There is one thread here that states a 1500 mile loaded 2001 triple black convertible for $38,000. I have asked for details if the guy does not buy this one. I am looking for other examples if they are really out there.
I would have thought 40K for 2000 and 42/43 for 2001.
The low-mileage 2001 for 38k is an exception and not the rule ????

I have scanned the C5 for sale section for months, and Ebay.
You're right, they're NOT out there. Its a figment of someone's imagination, who is HPOING to buy one for that price. I doubt he even HAS that amount, to spend, but there are NO low mileage un hit 2000 verts going for 35k.
Not even at auction.

How about a 2001 loaded, silver/black/black six speed.
Here is the guys reply to my inquiry:
The silver 2001 Corvette is a loaded 6 spd, and is $42000 US
Thanks for your interest.
I look forward to your reply.
$42K is his asking price. I just checked EBAY too, the 2000 verts aren't bringing $40K. Of course, the reserves were not met.
he has 2 for sale, 1 auto and 1 MN6

Re: Please list the $35K 2000 Convertibles and $38k 2001 Convertibles (indypace78)
Watch that E-Bay! I searched for a deal on Corvette Convertibles and they all have "Reserve". As an experience, I just finished bidding on a mint 2000 Jag XK 8 Convertible. The bidding stopped at about $46000+. But the Reserve started at around $63,000. And, they turned down my bid for $52,000 cash on the "personal" bidding routine. So, don't waste your time unless the seller will reveal what the "reserve" amount is. I have yet to see a really good deal on E-Bay. I guess there might be a few sellers that will sell below the "reserve" but you will never know when that happens. I think you can do better on Corvettes from our dealer supporters.

So are the REAL numbers $40k for 2000 and $42k for 2001 (or dare I say higher) ? I have asked the forum member who found the 2001 to let me know where I can find that $38k 2001. It just sounds too good to be true.
EBAY - I am just not sure it a WYSIWYG.

ebay sucks when they have a reserve. I found one that was close to me and emailed the guy. we talked, I offered him a price that was 1500 below his reserve he told me he setup, he said no, wouldn't take anything less than his reserve. Why not just start the bidding at the reserve instead of a dollar???

The one I was refering to did sell on ebay yesterday for $36k... It was a 2000 Pewter Convert., loaded, 3,7xx miles. The ebay seller was autoshowcase, out of Dallas I beleive. Not making any claims...just providing a specific example
Its gone now, but here are there current listings: http://cgi6.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-c...d=autoshowcase

ncvetteman - THANKS ! I always seem to hear about these fantastice E-Bay deals but never really know if the reserve is meet and the bidding just ends.
Thanks for the info.
It still looks like it is RARE to find a $35k 2000 and a $38k 2001. I think most folks are asking in the low to mid $40k for these cars - of course they may not be selling at these prices !

I went and checked that one out on ebay..I'm sure it was over 36 when I saw it and I don't think it had met the reserve I would have bought it for sure if I could have bought a 3000 mile 2000 for 36
I've got a bid on a 2001 coupe right now for 32,100..no reserve.... but It's got a day to go so I'm sure it runs up past my comfort level for a coupe.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...item=596016521
there's a 2001 convertible loaded with only 3000 miles on it with the reserve met but it's over 40 already http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...item=596008701 :flag

Thanks TopDownFun - That 2001 for $41k+ looks like a real deal. The $38k 2001 convertibles are still hard or impossible to find.
