This follows the logic that a turbo car is going to have a fair amount of backpressure in the exhaust and that there will be a tendency to get a reverse flow of exhaust gasses back into the cylinder if you keep the valve open to long.
Turbo cams are tricky and I don't know enough to tell you what will work best. I've seen cams that are not suppose to be good turbo cams (like a split duration blower cam) make great power on a turbo car.
I do know that a simple (non overlap) single pattern cam will work pretty well with most turbo applications, but it gets confusing when you want to get every last drop out of it. I think some really high HP topend power guys even bleed boost with the cam in favor of chamber with less exhaust gas contamination.
