Default BAP Clarification

Ok I did the search and read the threads now i just need some re-assurance.

From what i read there is no racetronix kit for an 04 yet. The only Options are replace with 97 tanks/rails/returnlines or do a BAP.

Halltech did ~592 RWHP on a Stock 04 Fuel System (42lb injectors) but other say the stock pump can't do more than 500rwhp.

My question is will a 04 Fuel System With a Kenne Bell BAP will Be able to Support 650 RWHP on a FI Car

I'm not an expert, but my guess is no -- a BAP will help but I don't think it will get you to 650rwhp on an '04 fuel system.

Maybe a BAP, a return plumbed fuel system with boost referenced regulator, and a turbo setup will get you there (I have noticed my turbos require less fuel than my blower did)...

A couple of guys are having success with running a surge tank setup, where you use the in-tank pump to fill a surge tank toward the front of the car, then use a second fuel pump that pushes fuel from the surge tank to the rails.

I was considering this setup myself, but it looks like my BAP + Racetronix + return fuel system is more than enough for my TT for now.

Check out the MDMC fuel parts thread. I recently purchased the parts and am pleased. If I had to go with different pumps I would use the MSD BAP and the Bosch 310lph intank pump. Optic has made more hp with his systems on 04s than I have seen so far.

I looked at the thread but noticed it said it was for 97-03 Vettes.

Does Anybody Know the cost of A complete 97-98 Fuel System?

You have to read the whole thing. Another guy just completed a 97-98 fuel rail swap for I think $400. I don't know if that included pumps or not.

Great...it sounds like you just are not interested in it then. I was trying to point you in the direction of a system on the 04s..actually I believe it is all cars after Thanksgiving of 2002, that is working to make a lot of hp without dropping tanks and going through all that bs. Good luck.

Nothing on the C5 is that hard to work on IMO. The Tanks just drop down, but I believe you have to run all new lines or at least some....its just time. The C5 is really pretty fun to work on...even better if you have a lift.

The thing to consider is why bother with something you don't have to do, when there is a product that works. Optic has made over 650rwhp on an 04 Vette using his parts. You should at least call him up and pick his brain.

I had to remove my MSD BAP and install A KB BAP to keep these 65# injectors happy with my '04 fuel system.

The MSD unit was not up to par. I have one for sale with very low miles onnit if anyone should be interested.

I too am using the KB BAP and an LPE 255lph intank pump. I mentioned MSD and Bosch because that is what Optic told me he used on everyone of the MDMC cars...he has made more hp and ran faster than anybody else on this board...to me that validates his setup.

At the same time it is good to hear about how the same parts work or don't work with certain applications. Maybe you had a bad MSD BAP or something.
