Default Installed Nitrous Kit Pricing??

Hey all,

I have been asked a bunch of times and usually am usually always told the installed prices are a bit on the high side. Without saying what I would charge I would like to get some input from y'all to see what folks think is fair. Not so much what you want to pay, as that will vary for sure, but what would be fair. Of course you can also scour the internet for the best pricing, but I generally figure at Jobber or 10% off Jobber pricing on components. Our labor rate is also $75 per hour for gauging purposes.

Here is what I would consider a standard component package:

TNT F1 Power Ring Base Package.
NX GEX X-2 Upgrade w/ fuel switch, purge and heater.
NX TPAS switch.
MSD Window Switch.
2 sets MSD Window Pills.
NX Switch Panel.
1.5-2 days install time for a clean install.
1 hour dyno time.

Of course there are several options such as fuel pressure gauge, nitrous pressure gauge, dual A-pillar fitment for gauges, bottle blanket, boost-a-pump, remote bottle opener, hidden system and such. Also there is the NX base EFI kit to work with as well as the NX MAF/Gemini system for the 2000 and older cars, but I figured that the TNT F1 is the most popular and easiest to install.

I look forward to the input. Thanks.

Hi cecil,

I sent you an e-mail with the pricing. I am a bit surprised there is no other input on this, but so it goes. I appreciate any input for sure. Later all.

Dont really know what you are trying to ask... you said that it will take 1-2 days @ $75/hr. At 8 hours a day that is $600.00 in labor if you quote 8 hours. 1200.00 if it takes your 16. 16 is a little high in my opinion since if you know what you are doing you know know how many wires to fish through the firewall, and that IMO is the truely time consuming part. I have installed (alone) a NX kit with GENX2 upgrade in 5 hours so I know that it can be done.

Hmm some Nitrous, that may be just what my engine needs to finally push it over the edge.

I better replace my 118k bottom end first.

Damn near forgot about this post :-) Yeah John, for sure a new bottom with the 118K, but maybe we could see what she will take

As far as the 1.5-2 days mentioned, we are looking at a clean and well engineered install. The 2 day portion would include a gauge package install. I will say to you as I have said to several folks mentioning a short install time. If you can show me you can install a "complete" nitrous install with hidden and nicely engineered harnesses and properly run lines in 5 hours and meets my standards I'll hire you By complete I mean with heater, switch panel, window switch, blow down tube, etc. as well as dyno time. Not saying someone may not get it done in short time, but we are finicky here about a proper install and do not rush things. Hope this helps.
