Default ATI or Vortech?

What are the differences in power and performance?
I have a pretty much stock 99 M6. Is it safe to charge the car at 60000 miles?

Sure. Might want to do a compression test first.

Both Vortech and ATI make nice head-units. I'm partial to the ATI as it is self oiling and seems to have a much larger install base, at least on this forum.

I am leaning towards ATI myself but my friend just bought the vortec and I read up on the estimated numbers and it is pretty equal to the ATI.

Is the install difficult on the ATI? I would like to attempt the install myself.

I would say the install of the ATI is a little easier as you don't have to drill the oil pan.

I went with the ATI setup but the Vortech is also very nice.

I think performance would be pretty close. ATI is probably easier to install because you don't have to drill the oil pan, like said earlier. I think it basically comes down which one you think looks better.

Which one makes the most noise ??

Lets face it... not many people are going to see you race (so i think the stealth thing is over rated)... Might as well let it be heard... and turn some heads.

From what I hear the Vortech is louder, even the quiet trim version.

The Vortech is much quieter if you get the SQ-trim. I can barely hear mine unless it is at idle and the Vortech Kit has a completely legit EO number if that matters to you.

The ATI kit has been improved upon greatly by some of the Vendors on the Forum (AA corvette & ECS).

Can't really go wrong with either, but as a Vortech owner I can say that
The larger user base of the ATI has resulted in a more refined blower setup than the Vortech kit.

I feel like the Vortech has a little more torque on the low end, but a little less upper end HP than the ATI.

thanks for the feedback.

What about installing? Is it really difficult to install?

I've been very happy with my Vortech. Other then some early belt problems, it's been a great system. My Z's at Dynotech right now getting the T-trim upgrade and a set of AFR heads. Should be around 650 at the wheels when it's done.

Before the latest round of mods:
