Default Line lock/NX switch panel question

I have the middle switch on my NX switch panel thats not being used, I was wondering if it could be used for a line lock. The only reason I'm not sure is because when you hit the switch(press it up) it automatically goes back to its original position(down).

Does anybody know?

TIA

Default Line Lock

You wont be able to use it because thats a Purge switch...replace it with a on/off switch. Call NX and tell them you need a replacement

You could use the purge button, but you would have to hold it down( I asked the same question at a local shop). Since I do not have the auto opener, I will try to use that switch.

I would not use an on/off switch, you want a switch that you have to hold down for a line lock. If your on/off switch would accidently get switched, the first time you hit the brakes the fronts would lock up.

I put a push button switch on a removable bracket and then just to be safe it plugs into an on/off switch, so I have to have the switch turned on and then hold the button down for my line lock to work. The switch is on a coiled cord that can just be un plugged when not in use.

Thanks for all the replies, I'll give NX a call and see if they'll send me another switch

The linelock was installed by the shop using an on/off duckbill. The switch is in the ashtray to avoid accidentals. If I use the 3 button swich panel, I will lose the space for the duckbill.

For my new setup the line lock button will be built into the shifter, as well I'll have a master off/on switch in the ashtray area.
