Default Blower cam and porting question.

I having a forged engine built and installing an F1 ATI Procharger. I was told the stock z06 or close to stock cam is the best for a supercharger. I don't what keep swapping cam again and again to get it right , so is there cam that is best. I just want to make as much power as possible.

And one more question if anyone can help , is there an advantage in porting the heads with forced induction. ? My first thought was of course but I have read some info stating otherwise , such as loss of mid range power with porting.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Default cam

Use Andy's 588 lift cam 115 cl. It works great with a supercharger

Better flowing heads will only help, not hurt with FI. Some well ported ls6 heads would work great. A split pattern 0 overlap cam is better for FI. You want some bias on the ex side. z06 cam will work, but it is not the best choice available.

If you're going to the trouble of a forged motor and an F class ProCharger, I would go a little more aggressive on the cam.

Thunder Racing has a new cam called the CheaTR cam. It's not the most aggressive but looks like it'd be great for a blower, what with its 117° LSA and 230° exhaust duration. With the intake centerline on 116° there's no overlap at all.
214/230 .601/.578 117 LSA

Here's a dyno of cam only change:

The Cam isn't going to be close to a LS6 Cam I still have to math out what I want but I'm sure the power will be stupid Remember we just did a 100% emmision legal 700rwhp,D1, C5 on pump gas
