Another PTK plus ......
Anyways, it's not the cleanest and it's far from being complete but I think it's lookin pretty good. The hood definitely compliments the bodykit (Tigershark courtesy of PaceThis) and works really well at getting the heat out of the engine bay. I definitely recommend it.
BTW, the splitter will be painted pewter and even with steep driveways I think will be just fine.. just have to approach at as much of an angle as you can manage.
So as far as PTK installation specifics, it went better than expected. It's the only turbo kit I've installed but I've seen the TTi stuff and had the mag in prior to it's installation. The PTK is definitely a quality kit and the guys at Proturbokits and Forcedinductions have always been very responsive to questions and issues, if not immediately by always picking up the phone, usually the next day via email.
Here's a few peeping-tom views:
From the front grill.. The Tigershark front-end allows airflow directly over the IC.
Pics below will give you an idea of where things are relative to the gills.
On Kevin's car, which the kit was prototyped on, there is a difference in ABS unit's. On my car I had the larger ABS unit which the kit currently doesn't have a lowered bracket for. Dalton will most likely be getting a bracket for it in the future. For now, the stock bracket can be modified to drop the ABS. This unit will need to be dropped as much as possible to clear the drivers-side oil return fitting/line.
Drivers side manifold and downpipe is very tight and required a slight dimple on the downpipe closest to the master brake cyl and directly opposite of that where that section is closest to the manifold.
Yet another PTK in an engine bay..
Here you can see the dimple on the downpipe and where I took a little off the MBC.

Green LED is connected to the alky pump leads. It starts dim and brightens as spray increases.

dean my machinist buddie is going to take ptk new logo and digitise it and then machine it out on a chuck of alum. and make a covers for the coil packs!
hows the tuning coming along?
i was loggin some decent miles last night, stinkin hot and HUMID here!
i was seeing 5psi and really feeling strong i cannot even imagine what 14.7psi is going to be like!

2nd mortgage!
BTW - that spoiler should be standard equipment on ALL tigershark front ends - makes it look badass -without it, it looks lame as hell.
That hood looks to be great for both aesthetics and heat extraction. If I ever get an aftermarket hood I would certainly consider the one you have.
I enjoyed running around having the only PTK kit in the country, but it is nice to see them hitting the streets.
I can't wait for the dude with the 427 and twin T70s to post some results.

that would be one reason to keep the coils in place.. Let me know what it would take to grab a set. I'm sure they would look awesome.
As far as tuning goes it's as far as I can go for now.. She goes to the bodyshop for paint and touchups and from there for motor work at Synergy. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before you're able to start tunin for power to really see what she can do. I'm sure you'll have to teach me a thing or two when you're done.
Keep it up and let us know how things go along the way..

I'm kinda of a low-keyed guy and not really into the attention but it's nice to see others appreciate the work put into it. Kinda like bringin a drop dead gorgeous GF around. You just know everyone's lookin.
Yea.. aside from yourself, which I'm lookin for new #'s on btw, the rest of us are I believe just gettin to the point of tuning these bad boys.. The PTK's definitely a great setup and no matter what comes out, will always be one of the best out there.
As far as seein it's potential, that 427 w/ T70's would say alot for the overall design for sure.. My plans are to enjoy it and have more on tap then I could ever use. I'm sure it'll have more to offer than I could ever ask.

The plan is for another LED at the pod which will indicate when the solenoid prior to the nozzle opens allowing for spray. The other gauge I have, sensing alky line pressure, I don't know where to put at this point.

will do!
The fit, finish and quality are top notch. Had mine for 2 years now and its perfect.
