Thanks for all the good information but I was some vague on what I'm looking to accomplish.

I'm not daddy's little rich kid with money to blow. I'm closer to 50 than 40 and I've had lots of "hot rods" in my day. This is a daily driver, alot of the time by my wife. All I'm looking for is input from someone that installed the basic 550 HP kit, left it alone and ran it. Did it perform as expected. Are the stock componenets able to handle it. I'm not going to upgrade it to 700 hp or anything like that and I'm not going to the track every Weds. night. Maybe no one has done the basic kit and left it alone. Just inquiring!!!

As you can see from my sig tag, I have a TTi Stage 1, making just under 500 rwhp and rwtq. Running 335 rear tires at 6500 ft altitude with 8 lbs of boost and I can break the rear tires loose at 60mph on a cool day. For street use it is a GREAT set up, if you want to run the drag strip, break open the wallet and smile.

Personally, I can not see over 500rwhp/rwtq for STREET ONLY use. Maybe I am getting old but I don't NEED more power than I can put to the street. I have already had this beast get away from me and cost me and my insurance almost $18K, not to mention 2 months in the shop. Be careful what you ask for, twin turbos can definately deliver the goods in a BIG way.

To answer your question, all the above posts are correct, even for a basic Stage 1 install, figure about $15k when you get it all done.

I'm not convinced supercharging is the way to go. What do you think?
I've done both.. and think that at equal power levels a turbo'd system can be made to be stealthier. I want 700plus but I also want it to drive w / stocklike manners. Just me..

BTW unless you want to stay under 500hp, every response you've gotten is dead on. Good luck on selecting..

TTi Stage I or an STS, maybe. If being smog legal is a preference then it leans towards STS.

Pretty familiar with the TTi Stage I and it's installation. For what you want it's an absolutely great setup. Takes some time to install if you're a DIY'r but it's worth it..
