Default OK Here it is.

I'm sure you all know about the big fiasco with Procharger lately. They have forced me to change directions and develop an entirely new system. I've taken the Vortech head unit and made an entirely new bracket system. I've incorporated a cam action belt tensioner that will make installing the belt MUCH easier. After the belt is installed it's simlpy a matter of swinging the tensioner and locking it down. It the fully tightened position, as you can see in the photos, the belt has almost 100% belt contact area with the pulley. It can be tightened all the way until the belt contacts itself on the other side of the blower pulley. This has more contact area than any of my previous designs.
The finished product will be fully polished like my previous designs.
Look at how stout the mounting is and how easy it is to get at the belt tensioner.
I'll be testing pulley sizes and boost levels this week.

So here's to Procharger!

Very Nice. But I'd invest more time in your Twin Turbo and give up on that darn PROCHARGER

What really impresses me is how fast this new system has been put together. I am sure some of the quickness had to do with the given situation. looks great!!!

We are using Vortec on our BMW Systems too.

Are any of the bigger trim (Ysi..) models going to fit (something comparable to an F1-R)?

Damn... that IS a stout looking bracket. Whats your hood clearance look like? Will it crossover to the C6? 8rib compatible... or with belt rap like that will 8 rib even be needed? Compatibility with bigger Vortech head units? Mounting of the Vortech head unit looks similar to the Paxton (?). I suspect answers to come as the new kit gets excercised. VERY NICE work Andy!

The top of the blower is almost a half inch lower than the Procharger was. NO hood rubbing at all. The inlet is 1 3/8" higher. There's much more clearance going over the top of the radiator. That part will be much easier.
8 Ribs will fit without any problems. The spacers are just .300" longer and the adjustable tensioner will be a little different.
The T trim, YS , JT etc should all fit just fine.
I have one of each to try.

SWEET. Can you compare head units...i.e. does T = D1 and YS = F1??? How about some side by side comparisons...for those of us thinking about going this route

Hey Andy,
The one that would replace my F1R (Y trim I think)are they as loud as the ATI's?? What about the marbles in a can sound?
How will these be lubricated? Are they self contained or will their have to be an alternate oil source?

In regards to power output, with the way they are designed, do you have any idea as to power delivery? What I mean is, will these produce more or less power at the lower RPM's?

When the He!! are you coming to pick up my car so you can switch all this stuff out?
My system is already outdated. Its going on a week old.

Thanks for the update Andy. I'm still wonder how is the lubrication issue coming along. Any changes in your plans? I will be requesting the S trim unit or maybe a T, just not the SQ. Remember I want to be able to hear that bad boy coming from a block away .
Keep the pictures coming it makes my wait a little easier.

Niece bracket setup! Some serious thought went into new design.

Does the idler swing or pivot to accommodate different pulley sizes? Are you adding any more supports from head, or are you using water pump as support?

Looks like you have good design that should be trouble free. Also the V2 head unit is a niece design and quite. I was seriously thinking a two stage belt drive would be required, like Vortech kit with jack shaft. But with the belt wrap you have torque issues do to lower wheel speed and smaller step-up gear ratio should be no problem.

Please post when design is completed and availability. I just may slap on V2 head unit I have kicking around.

The Ysi is louder than your F1R. I had a friend that had the Ysi in his stang. It is INSANE loud. All whistle no marbles.

Great idea with that cam tensioner!

And the loaded question is...how much for an upgrade?
