I was wondering if you A4 guys recommend maintaining the stock converter for a FI application. Will the stock TC handle the increased horsepower & torque?
I don't have a "built transmission" so I am a little concerned with using a bigger TC and increasing the torque to the trans too much.
What do you guys with the experience recommend?
Thanks for all of your replies to my FI threads so far.

I have about 47K on my stock converter with a stock A4 and I added the Procharger at 28K.
Now I also have 3.42 gears that lower the loads on the rest of the drivetrain.
Adding a higher stall converter will result in 2 things 1 is no traction, 2 is early transmission failure.
Thanks corvettebob1,
How do you like your procharger set-up?
Any issues that you've come across?
Thanks!
Since I have 1 of the early ones, I had the belt alignment issue and idler bearing issues but I have corrected both.
The 1 thing you will need to do is pin the crank, and if I were you I'd toss the factory balancer and replace it with an ATI Super damper.
Overall I love the kit, it just needed some R&D before it was released!
Right now I have a tuning issue and heating issue, but that appears to be caused by a move from Mich. to Fl. and there a huge shortage of good tuners in NE Fl.
I will be installing a DeWitts HD rad. and lowering it to return to the factory dual fans. The Procharger 2 speed fan worked Ok in Mi. but down here if your doing 70 mph it's Ok!
