Ok I have been doing alot of price checking and reading on FI systems and I have decided on a blower.

Now the question comes up which one?

Kenne bell,Procharger,Vortech,Powerdyne,Paxton ,Mangacharger?

Any feedback on street driving, how much I'll be able to drive my vette, power and dyno numbers, track numbers, extras that will have to be bought outside of what comes in the kit.

System will be going on a 98 Coupe with 65,000miles only mods to this point
Vararam and magnaflow w/xpipe

So if you have pros or cons for any or all it would be great to hear them, even if its advice in another route or things to do to the car 1st.

Thx fellas
Chad

For me it was price & quality...

I chose an A&A P1SC kit for $4995...

If I had to do it again, I'd go with an A&A Vortec S-Trim (because of Procharger's crappy treatment of A&A and ECS)...

Find a reputable tuner near you and talk to them. I wouldn't do an FI kit w/o the support of a good local tuner.

If you are going to do all of the work yourself, it may not be an issue.

The kit I can install myself with the help of a couple corvette guys in Augusta the tuning I'll take it to Jeff Creech at Carolina Automasters in Durham a bit of a ride 5 hours but he is the best on this side on things.

I'll order the kit and install it here then trailor it to him.

How do you plan to use the car? Road race, drag race, street use?

At a minimum you'll need to upgrade your fuel system.

I keep hearing about the single intercooler setups from ECS and A&A and they both sound great and would like to get one.

Can someone kinda explain the deal with Procharger vs Vortech vs Paxton and what happened or better yet can I get a time from either place when I can give ya'll a call and just spend 15-20mins talking about them systems when you are not busy....

Just help the new kid here....

Thx fellas

All I can say is that you should be ready to spend twice what you plan to spend. Although many kits advertise that abundant HP is available with their kits, be ready to buy a forged motor. I had to get one only 4 weeks after my P1SC install. However, I had a great supporting tuner, and I was able to meet my goals eventually. You will be amazed by the unbelievable HP/torque from a SC. Just be prepared for extra costs.

I realize that we all take a chance on FI with a stock motor, but just curious who installed and tuned your original set-up.
